BOISE, Idaho -  Three members of Pacific Crest  volunteered their time and efforts to serving a spaghetti dinner  at the River of Life on Thursday, July 17, 2014.

The River of Life is one of Boise Rescue Mission’s four valley-wide shelters and the largest one in Idaho. It’s a men’s facility although women, children and the general public are welcome for meals there as well. The staff serves breakfast, lunch and two dinners daily.

Principal of Richardson Insurance and California State Director Randy Richardson along with his wife Cathy, son (Pacific Crest Intern) Trevor and daughter Tara have been volunteering for years at this shelter. Randy invited Marketing Assistant Kyle Moulin to join his family this month to help serve a dinner and see the impact that it has.

“I enjoy volunteering and I welcome the chance to make a difference in someone’s life, even if it is just for the night or just a meal.” Kyle said.  Everybody volunteering in this event enjoyed being able to give back to their community and the less fortunate. Tara told us “It’s always a pleasure getting to see their faces light up and see how appreciative they are for what we do.”  Trevor and Randy both agreed that it is not so much about the money and the food, but showing them that you are here to help them and that you care.

Meet Our Most Valuable Player Alex Pieters Pieters Insurance - Minden, Nevada MINDEN, Nevada — A small community of just more than 3,000 residents east of the southern tip of Lake Tahoe, Minden, Nevada, is a quiet little town in the heart of the Carson Valley.

For just about a quarter of a century, Alex Pieters was one of a handful of police officers in the county seat of Douglas County.

Knowing the community as he does, it made sense that Alex would hang his shingle in this community that once boasted it was a getaway destination for some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Clark Gable and Jean Harlow.

Alex understands that to succeed in a small town, being competitive with price is important.
