ENTERPRISE AGENT
Requirements: 1 year Property & Casualty Insurance Experience, Current P&C License, Life & Disability License a Plus, Commission Based Upon Current Book – 80-90%, Existing Office & E&O Insurance Required
The Enterprise Agenct (EA) runs their own business with the support of Pacific Crest Independent Insurance Alliance (PCIIA) who offers the following:
- Broad access to national insurance carriers
- No carrier or broker production requirements
- Unparalleled back office support to minimize or eliminate your office overhead
- Full access to industry leading technology: Database Management Systems, Multi-Raters, Cloud Computing & Individualized web sites tailored to your business
- Industry leading compensation typically reserved for large organizations and producers – contingency bonuses and more
PCIIA has designed this EA program to satisfy the extensive concerns and challenges facing captive, independent and producing agents. From limited insurance markets and low commissions to ownership uncertainty, this program makes it possible for a serious agent to realistically set and reach their business goals. Our typical Enterprise Agents:
- Are active independent agents unable to secure competitive markets
- Spend more time running their business than working with their clients
- Have one to six years experience in either a captive or independent capacity
- Just started building a book of business or have a book they cannot access
- Grasp their future and simply want more choices and greater commission
GROUP ENTERPRISE AGENT
Requirements: >2+ Years Property & Casualty Insurance experience, Current P&C License, Life & Disability License a Plus, 90% Commission, Existing Office and E&O Insurance Required
Pacific Crest Independent Insurance Alliance (PCIIA) has a vested interest in the development and growth of strategically placed Group Enterprise Agents (GEA) with a uniquely developed model for success for those who qualify. Maintaining all the advantages of the alliance, GEA’s are afforded the opportunity to run an organization staffed and contractually managed, by the alliance, while realizing all the rewards of a team with PCIIA helping you grow your business and staff your office with GIAs.
Group Enterprise Agents have excelled as independent and/or captive agents – they want more than a growing book of business. They often seek multiple streams of income or desire to build an organization bigger than themselves. They are more than insurance agents – they are entrepreneurs.
In addition to the core requirements noted above, PCIIA applies a selection process that assures the best agents represent these key positions. The following list aligns with PCIIA’s philosophy and encompass a successful GEA agent:
- Current active and successful insurance agency
- Consistently exceeds business goals and objectives
- Committed to growing an organization
- Diligently trains and mentors their staff
- Focused on agent retention and brand loyalty
GROUP INDEPENDENT AGENT
Requirements: Current P&C License, Life & Disability Licenses a Plus, No Book Requirements
With over 450,000 licensed insurance agents in the United States, attrition and failure among agents remains one of the highest in the financial services industry. Pacific Crest Independent Insurance Alliance (PCIIA) has evaluated this trend and it points clearly to inexperienced agents and/or inexperienced business owners. PCIIA has the advanced thinking it takes to change that trend as 2015 introduces our Group Independent Agent (GIA) program, placing our newest agents in a managed, growth oriented environment so they can build their own book of business and learn quickly as part of an experienced team.
Our GIAs are the foundation of a successful group – they are experts in both insurance sales and service. They work day-to-day for the Group Enterprise Agent or group owner but are not captive. PCIIA places GIAs in a group based on their fit, and contractually manages that relationship. Scientifically having the right mix of strengths, as well as a balanced staff alignment in the right group will produce the intended results – SUCCESS.
GIAs can transition to both Enterprise and Group Enterprise agent programs once they meet the stated requirements, or they can remain as GIAs – their choice. As the GIA grows their book, their opportunities become endless. PCIIA will get you started in the right direction.

Meet Our Most Valuable Player
Alex Pieters
Pieters Insurance - Minden, Nevada
MINDEN, Nevada — A small community of just more than 3,000 residents east of the southern tip of Lake Tahoe, Minden, Nevada, is a quiet little town in the heart of the Carson Valley.
For just about a quarter of a century, Alex Pieters was one of a handful of police officers in the county seat of Douglas County.
Knowing the community as he does, it made sense that Alex would hang his shingle in this community that once boasted it was a getaway destination for some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Clark Gable and Jean Harlow.
Alex understands that to succeed in a small town, being competitive with price is important.
