Charles graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Public Administration. He spent over 20 years with the Bellevue Police Department investigation fraud and computer crime as well as managing a squad of officers. After retiring from the Bellevue police department as a Lieutenant, Charles obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho. He operated a successful family law practice for over 10 years until he made the eventual transition to Pacific Crest.
